seed

Free to-do list app

A free to-do list app with no catch

Most “free” to-do apps cap your projects, hide reminders behind a paywall or stop working when you share. seed doesn’t. Unlimited tasks, subtasks, due dates, reminders, repeats and people, free for as long as you use it.

  • $0 for unlimited notes, tasks and people
  • No card to sign up
  • 14 days of Pro included

Day one

From a cluttered head to a clear list in ten minutes

01 · Dump it

Write everything down

One line per thing. Don’t sort it yet. Press N anywhere in seed to add one more without leaving what you’re doing.

02 · Shape it

Add only what matters

A date on what’s urgent, a repeat on what comes back, subtasks on what’s big. Or ask @agent to sort and date the lot.

03 · Finish it

Tick it off

The bell shows what’s due and what’s late, and the calendar shows the month ahead.

More than a checklist when you need it

Every task starts as one quiet line. It grows only when you ask it to.

Subtasks and priority

Break a big job into steps, each with its own date and owner. Mark what’s high priority.

Reminders and repeats

A reminder on anything, and repeats for the weekly shop or the monthly rent.

Share any list

Invite someone to one folder. Give them edit or view access, or keep a folder hidden from them.

Talk on the task

Every task has its own thread, so “did you do it?” gets answered right there.

Notes on tasks

Keep the details, links and photos on the task they belong to.

An AI helper

Ask @agent to turn a messy list into a plan with dates. 30 requests a month free.

When another to-do app might suit you better

The honest part

seed runs in your browser on computers and phones; add it to your home screen and it opens like an app. A native iPhone app with push notifications is coming soon, and there’s no Android app yet. It needs a connection, so it won’t work offline. Tasks are lists, with a month calendar of everything that’s due; there’s no kanban board. If you want natural-language dates typed straight into the task box, a dedicated app like Todoist may suit you better.

What it costs

Free has no time limit: unlimited notes, tasks, folders and people, team chat, 25 MB of uploads and 30 AI agent requests a month. Every new account starts with 14 days of Pro, no card. Pro is $9.99/month or $99/year when you want the agent sending, booking and posting for you. Full pricing.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is seed’s to-do list app really free?

Yes. Tasks, subtasks, reminders, repeats, folders and sharing are unlimited on the free plan, with no time limit and no card. The only limits are on AI requests (30 a month) and uploaded file storage (25 MB).

What’s the catch?

There’s no advertising and we don’t sell data. seed makes money from Pro, which people buy when they want the AI agent to do more: send email, book calendar events, post to Slack and work across every folder.

Can I share my to-do list for free?

Yes, with as many people as you like. Share one folder, or your whole workspace, and choose edit, view-only or no access for each person.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, in your phone’s browser. Add seed to your home screen and it opens full-screen like an app. A native iOS app with push notifications is coming soon.

What happens after the free trial?

Every account starts with 14 days of Pro. When it ends you’re on Free automatically and keep all your tasks. Nothing is charged unless you choose Pro ($9.99/month).
