Small business

The task manager for small businesses that run on conversations

Small businesses don’t need project management software with Gantt charts. They need to know who’s doing what by when, and where the conversation about it went. seed gives every client or job a folder, every task an owner and a thread, and gives you an AI agent that turns the call notes into the to-do list.

  • $0 for unlimited notes, tasks and people
  • No card to sign up
  • 14 days of Pro included

A typical setup

One workspace, a folder per client

The brief is a note at the top of the folder. The jobs sit under it, each with an owner, a date and its own chat thread. Client files are attached to the task they belong to, or linked from Google Drive.

Staff and contractors get access to the folders they work in, as editors or viewers. Folders they don’t have access to are hidden completely, name included. On Pro you can keep each business or big client in a separate workspace.

  • Owners and dates on every task, and several assignees when a job needs two people
  • A chat channel per folder and a thread per task, with @mentions and files
  • Suggested tasks from chat: when someone asks for something in a chat, seed can offer to make it a task for them
  • Reminders, a red dot on anything late, and a calendar of what’s due
  • History of who changed what, and a trash you can restore from

The AI agent

An extra pair of hands for the admin

Mention @agent in any chat. It does the job instead of telling you how.

Call notes to tasks

Paste the notes from a client call. Each commitment becomes a task, assigned to whoever took it on.

Rebalance the week

“Move everything of Sam’s due this week to Priya.” One sentence instead of twenty clicks.

Folder briefs

Tell each folder what it’s for and who does what. The agent reads it before it acts.

Follow up (Pro)

It emails the recap from your Gmail, books the meeting in Google Calendar and adds the row to your Sheet.

Webhooks (Pro)

A form, store or other system can wake the agent, so a new order or enquiry becomes tasks on its own.

Slack (Pro)

Link a folder to a Slack channel, and pin a Slack message to turn it into a task.

You choose, per tool, whether it asks first or just gets on with it.

When you need something bigger

The honest part

seed has no time tracking, invoicing, Gantt charts, kanban boards or client portal. If your work moves through fixed stages, a board tool like Trello fits better; if you need resource planning across dozens of people, use dedicated project software. seed is for teams of a few to a few dozen who want the work and the talk in one place.

What it costs

Free has no time limit: unlimited notes, tasks, folders and people, team chat, 25 MB of uploads and 30 AI agent requests a month. Every new account starts with 14 days of Pro, no card. Pro is $9.99/month or $99/year when you want the agent sending, booking and posting for you. Full pricing. On Pro, everyone you invite gets the Pro agent inside your workspace, so one subscription covers the team’s agent use.

Yes. seed’s free plan has unlimited tasks, folders and users, with team chat included. Pro is optional, for more storage, unlimited workspaces and an agent that sends email, books meetings and posts to Slack.

Do I pay per user?

No. Pro is $9.99 a month or $99 a year for the person who subscribes, and everyone they invite gets the Pro agent inside their workspace. Storage is per person.
